Meet the winners of the Student Showcase 2025
Showcasing emerging voices from across our community of institutions.
Since launching over a decade ago, our services such as Domain of One’s Own, Shared Hosting and Wordpress Multisite have grown into an important part of the infrastructure students and faculty rely on at hundreds of schools.
2025 Winners announced
We announced the winners of this year's student showcase at Reclaim Open on November 6. They are (in no particular order):
- Hilltown Edge Magazine (HEM), Olivia Grozier and the SUNY Oneonta Fashion Journalism Students
- Diplomacy Lab, Sophia Raymond, Mahima Suresh, Maysem Al-Khakani, Zoe Gainer, Kate Tillett, Morgan Hendrickson
- Red Dragon Portfolio Theme, developed by SUNY Oneonta Inclusive Design Lab
- The State Times and WONY.FM, Rick Heil and the staff of TheStateTimes.com
All entries were reviewed by our panel of judges and scored based on innovation, applicability as well as on creative use of the technology.

Meet our first winner: Hilltown Edge Magazine (HEM), Olivia Grozier and the SUNY Oneonta Fashion Journalism Students.
Olivia Grozier was TA for her Fashion Journalism Class taught by Dr. Sarah Portway. In this fashion journalism class, they students were assigned to create articles in the style of prominent fashion magazines, and these assignments were displayed on a class blog. As TA for the class, Olivia created the visual style of the blog, drawing inspiration from digital magazines she reads in the fashion world.
