Conference submissions for Reclaim Open 2025 Rewilding the Network – Making New Connections close on Monday, 9/15. Don't miss your chance to get involved in this year's conference and make your submission before the deadline.
Making a submission is easy
For Reclaim Open, every 250 word proposal is also a blog post, published on the conference site. You can choose a format to suit you:
- Presentation (e.g. show & tell, demo, research)
- Blog post for the Conference Blog-a-Thon
- Community Social (informal chat, hangout, a bit of fun)
Submissions should relate to one of the following streams:
Your Voice: how do educators and students find and amplify their voices on the open web? How do we make ourselves heard and what are the risks and opportunities in Higher Ed and beyond?
Your World: Maybe it’s a blog or a domain of one’s own that is your home in the digital realm. Whether it’s all business or rather hobbies, pets, creative projects, parenting or sports. Share what you care about on the open web.
The Tech: the technology that makes it all possible, from open source platforms like WordPress and Ghost, to open infrastructure hosted on ReclaimEDU, this theme is for sharing tech know-how and geeky pursuits.
The Connections: What brings us together in a world of fragmented social networks and how do you stay connected and find new connections? From self-hosted socials to federated networks, we want to hear about how you make connections.
The Wildcard: Share your inspiration and creativity. Wild is wonderful.
New to conferences?
If you are new to the Reclaim community or indeed to submitting proposals to conferences all together, never fear. Check out our handy guide for first time authors. Reclaim Open is a friendly conference, not too big and not too formal. We like to share practice, stories of things that haven't worked alongside success stories, and most of all we love to experiment and play with open educational technology.
