Free Flex Course: Newsletters with Ghost!
We're already halfway through March, and that means we're just one month away from our Newsletters with Ghost flex course! Reclaim offers free, beginner-friendly professional development courses on a variety of topics (check out reclaimed.tech for our back catalog), and this one will be running from April 15 to May 03.
Ghost is a free, open-source and self-hostable platform for newsletters and blogging. It's simple, elegant, and easy-to-use, and this flex course will make it approachable whether you're starting your very first newsletter or curious about switching platforms from Substack or WordPress. (Just as an example of what's possible, both this Reclaim the Blog announcements blog and our monthly Reclaim Roundup newsletter are run through Ghost!)
Newsletters with Ghost will consist of three one-hour recorded sessions premiering Tuesdays at 12pm ET (that'll be April 16, April 23, and April 30). Our goal is to get you "from zero to newsletter" in just three weeks!
We'll walk through how to get started self-hosting with Ghost, our tips and tricks for running a newsletter, and how to easily configure email settings to make sure your messages are reaching your audience. In between sessions, you can join the discussion and ask questions asynchronously on our community Discord server.
