Student Showcase Winners: Diplomacy Lab
In this series of posts we will showcase each of our winners, inviting you to explore their inspiring projects and hear from the voices of tomorrow that will help shape the web for the next generation.
Winner: Diplomacy Lab
Ajax Lambert, Sophia Raymond, Mahima Suresh, Maysem Al-Khakani, Zoe Gainer, Kate Tillett, Morgan Hendrickson
The purpose of the project is to create a resource for universities, educators, and organizations to reflect on this history and to draw meaningful lessons from the war and its aftermath—lessons that continue to resonate today in the context of political-security issues, global conflict, stabilization efforts, and reconciliation. The site highlights cultural perspectives, historical timelines, essays, and learning opportunities in an accessible format, while also offering practical resources. Visitors can explore cooking recipes, learn languages and cultural traditions, consider study abroad opportunities, and access lesson plans for teaching about U.S.–Vietnam relations.
Over the course of the semester, through a series of consultations, they transformed that idea into a thoughtful and well-designed website that commemorates the 30th and 50th anniversaries of U.S.–Vietnam relations and the Vietnam War.
Tune in to the recording of the live showcase below to hear the students talk about the winning entry.
