Peer-learning in action: Get started with community chats

Community Chats are a chance for our community to get together once a month in an informal setting and connect about different web technologies, working with Reclaim Hosting products, or discussing anything else that might be trending in higher ed.

So whether you are a new admin finding your feet, an enthusiastic early adopter keen to learn more or someone who's tinkering with new tools on the open web, this is a friendly group committed to peer-learning and sharing both what works (and what doesn't!).

You don't have to be an expert to take part and if you have lots of questions or are keen to find a solution to a problem you have been working on, you are most welcome to bring these along. Outside of the monthly chats, our Discord server is a social space dedicated to chatting about everything from running a Domain of One's Own to experimenting with Wordpress Multisite, so if you haven't yet said hello, join us this month to get started.

The chat topic is chosen by the Reclaim team and announced a few weeks in advance. Community Chats are completely free, open for anyone to attend, and a great chance to get to know folks from other schools that might be running projects similar to yours.

Register for the next Community Chat: October 11th @ 10am

This month we’ll have some WordPress Multisite experimentation through the work at St Olaf. Bret Farley is joining us to talk through his exploration and customizations he and his team worked through to allow for St Olaf to create a custom WPMS instance for their school.
