PHP Upgrades
Here is a quick reminder of upcoming changes, which will affect Shared Hosting customers. For more info, check out our full service update.
- 9/1: PHP 8.0 is removed;
- 10/13: PHP 8.1 is removed.
Major Upgrades to Domain of One's Own
We’re rolling out a new upgraded version of Domain of One’s Own this summer, and we have dedicated sessions for admins to find out what's in store. The upgrades will offer admins centralized and simplified administration, easier updates, increased security and more freedom in how your instance is themed.

Recent security updates
Our team continues to work hard to ensure the security of our sites and servers in the light of recent vulnerabilities:
- cPanel Domain Parking Vulnerability (CVE-2026-65643): we have temporarily disabled the ability to add new subdomains, addon domains, and parked domains to existing cPanel accounts on affected servers. Existing subdomains, add-on domains, and parked domains are not impacted and will continue to function normally, and not all servers are impacted by this temporary mitigation.
- WordPress RCE Vulnerability (CVE-2026-65640)
Plan ahead for Domain pricing changes
Following our update in July, the new price for domain registrations, $19/year, will become effective for all domain renewals from September 1. The price applies to all domain registrations, such as a .com, .net, .org, or any other domain extensions we offer. If you use our Bulk Shared Hosting service and have pre-purchased promo codes previously, these will continue to be valid without a change.
